Ken Tudor, DVM

Dr. Ken Tudor has practiced general and emergency small animal medicine since graduating from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. He has also served as a Veterinary Medical Officer for both the United States Department of Agriculture and the California Department of Food and Agriculture.

In addition to serving as director and primary instructor for the Mt. San Antonio College Veterinary Technology Program, Dr. Tudor has graduate training in exercise physiology/sports nutrition and has instructed classes in those subject areas at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is also a member of the American Association of Veterinary Nutrition and recently served as a member of the American Animal Hospital Association task force to develop their Guidelines for Dog and Cat Weight Management. This career interest in nutrition and fitness prompted Dr. Tudor to leave full-time general practice and develop Hearthstone Homemade for Dogs, a program that helps owners prepare nutritionally balanced homemade diets for their dogs. He has also developed the Pet Weight Management weight loss system to assist pet owners and veterinarians with successful pet weight loss.

Dr. Tudor has been published in the veterinary journals Feline Medicine and, more recently, Veterinary Medicine. He is a frequent guest speaker on the subject of pet weight management and nutrition. He is also a frequent guest blogger and contributor on radio segments of Pet World Insider.

Dr. Tudor lives in Claremont, California with his wife of 44 years, Marsha, and their Dalmatian/Pit cross, Roxy. After his granddaughter, Ainsley, Dr. Tudor’s alternate passion is the stock market and company analysis, especially small Chinese companies. He has served as a contributing analyst for Internet "small cap" websites.
