Dr. Tara Hansen is a Virtual Veterinarian, working with Chewy’s Connect With a Vet. She is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2001. Prior to joining Chewy in 2021, Dr. Hansen worked as a general medicine practitioner and spent several years as a hospital medical director. Her professional interests include client education and access to care, public health, pain management, and geriatric care. Dr. Hansen enjoys biking, hiking, camping, and traveling with her family.
