Dr. Kate Bedard graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014, went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at the Ohio State University, and then completed both a specialty internship and 3-year residency program in Comparative Ophthalmology at the University of Georgia.

In the fall of 2019, she accepted a position as a small animal ophthalmologist at MedVet in Lexington, KY, where she continues to work. Dr. Bedard maintains a special interest in ophthalmology surgery, specifically corneal and cataract surgery.

She is passionate about the client and patient experience. In her free time, she enjoys taking long walks with her Great Pyrenees, reading, painting, and baking bread.
