  • 1. This is such an important service, especially for people in rural areas with no emergency clinics and no vets. on call

Every pet owner should have this phone number in strategic places all over their home, just like emergency numbers for people. The staff here couldn't be more patient and helpful. When something happens to a pet, their families are often in a panic, they don't know how to respond, they need guidance and emotional support. It would be nice if this number were in the front of every phone book! I've had a number of pet emergencies in my home, and luckily only once needed this number; and then I really just needed a person with a calmer head on their shoulders.

an absolute life saver, great service

none except it would be nice to be free, but I'm not complaining

  • 2. ASPCA poison control is a life saver

This service is great for pet owners and veterinarians. There is a cost, but it is minimal for the information and service provided. The staff is informed and many veternarians involved are board certified toxicologists.

Invaluable service in times of need

The phone no. for the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center os 888-426-4435. THis is a MUST HAVE NUMBER for pet owners. One call can save your pets life. There is a small fee for the service of trained veterinary toxicologists. They will work with you and your veterinarians as long as it takes to get your animal out of trouble.

Saves lives! Great toxicologists! Small fee!!
