This park would be a lot nicer if it were better maintained and people watched their dogs. They really need to add a fenced in area with a seperate entrance for the smaller breeds and puppies because people refuse to watch their larger breeds and they are dangerous to the little dogs. More parking areaa would be a plus too.

    It's a big area

    Its muddy

This is a great place to let your dogs run off leash. You just have to make sure that the other dogs inside the fence are friendly. I have run into some *not so nice* dogs and owners that have no business having dogs.

    fun, large area, water provided,

needs more grass, sometimes run into people who have nasty dogs

This is a great place to take your dog and let them run in the off leash area or even to walk them on the trail. They supply water areas for the dogs which is nice on those hot days! Our dog really enjoys going here and playing with us and with other dogs!

    Great Place

I am so thankful to have this park in the North Hills. What a wonderful way to allow the dogs to play and met new people. Everyone has been great and I can't wait for the weather to break so I can take my dog Ginver.

  • 5. Great dog park for off-leash fun (if you're into dog parks)

I am NOT a fan of dog parks in general. That being said, North Park does have a great off-leash area. It is probably about an acre, fenced in, water available, poop bags and garbage can are available too. It can get very muddy even long after the rain has ended. I don't trust dog parks because of unstable dogs and their owners though. My dog was attacked here by a Great Dane, but my dog was blamed, so I guess I am still bitter. The regulars are nice and you will know all of their dog's names before you know the human's names. \r\n\r\nIf your dog is very stable, used to running with a pack of dogs, and is well trained, then North Park Dog Park might work for you.
