I recently took my cat here for a rabies inoculation. This is one of a very few if not the only free clinic in the area, so it is very crowded. At the time I visited, the clinic was limited to 30 people per day (I think people with more than one animal were only counted as one.)\n\nOn my first visit (a Wednesday) I arrived 30 minutes after they opened to find that all the available slots for the day were taken. I went again on Saturday, arriving 30 minutes early, and was able to be seen. The staff is very friendly and were equally accommodating whether you were with a plain mixed-breed or a fancy purebred.\n\nThe vet was necessarily quick but did give my cat a brief examination before administering the shot. The clinic also supplied the MA rabies certification and tag. You pay only for the cost of the inoculation, though they do ask for a donation to cover operational expenses.\n\nAs of 7/12, Merwin clinic is open on Monday through Saturday from 12:00-3:00pm, except Wednesdays when they open 5:00-7:00pm, no appointments.
