    by: shafrantz

They are doing the best they can - there are too many dogs being brought in each day and not enough being adopted out. They do adoption events, volunteers walk and play with and train dogs there, and the adoption specialist always returns her phone calls. They are doing more than most of the shelters in the MB area!! If you have time - go and walk a few dogs and check around, maybe you'll find your new best friend.

    low kill - does foster

I visit this shelter often and I must say that it has so much potential. I've encountered some really nice helpful workers but overall they are rude or indifferent. \r\nThe animals are well cared for, I believe and I do not doubt that there are some employees who really care. I just wish I met up with them more often then not.

they are a very low kill shelter

I found out through friends that the Grand Strand Humane Society helps out people who need help paying for items such as flea and tick medicines, meds for their pets and also with having their pets fixed. The staff was wonderful. My pet came home happy as can be!!!!
