I adopted Montana from The Eastshore Humane Society in 2004. I was very pleased that they did their homework on potential adoptors before placing the litter of puppies. The staff was very friendly and polite. :)

Don't adopt on 1st come basis

Eastshore has set the bar for establishing a no-kill shelter in northeast wisconsin. They've proven it can be done. They truly care about the animals in their care and work with the community to place them into forever homes.\r\n\r\n

    No kill done right

    Far away

Eastshore Humane Association gets no help from the county, the money that they make is off of the animal adoptions and the donations that kind people bring in and give. It is a no kill shelter so there is always people that are calling and want to surrender their animals to the shelter, but sometmes they have to be put on a waiting list because there is simply not enough room there. So it would be great if they would win the makeover to make more room for all the animals and then there would be less animals that are turned away.

Place is clean-everyone is nice and the animals are well taken care of.

Would be nice to have more dog kennels-better cages for the cats.
