  • 1. A Horrible Place

I have been to this shelter several times either to locate a missing pet or to adopt a dog or cat. I am always sickened by how rude the staff is & I truly wonder how they adopt out any pets. When you ask the staff for assistance with an animal, they act as if you have ruined their day & it's painful to help you or answer your questions. I understand you must have a certain amount of hardness to be able to work in that environment, however the point of working there is to find homes for the animals. \r\n When we adopted our dog, we had so many problems with the pet hospital on site we ended up having to pay our own vet vaccinate & spay her on top of the adoption fee which was supposed to cover the shelter spaying and vaccinating her. \r\n

They'll accept animals if they come in

The staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful

I really am impressed with the spca, they take very good care of the animals, have them in seperate buildings based on what you are looking for, they have dog parks, an amazing vets office, a groomer, a seperate shelter for found animals and to top it all off they have a second hand store on site that benifits the animals. We rescued Angel as a puppy over a year and a half ago, and we continue to use thier vets. They even offer a low cost vaccination clinic on saturdays. I cant say enough on how impressed I am. The staff and volunteers are all very friendly also.

They take very good care of all the animals.

A little short staffed at time.
