    by: t15a2ha

The ACQ is a very small place but they rescue many animals from the city shelter despite their size and they take in many owner surrenders because they are very close to the city's Queens intake facility for lost and surrendered animals. They take a number of dogs that have issues that normally would have been put to sleep and try to find them the right homes including older dogs and cats. They need people to help with fund-raising and grant writing to get the funds to maintain the facility, pay the growing vet bills and do more rescues and outreach and maybe find a larger facility or at least pay the inevitable rent increase when their lease expires or the animals could be in serious danger.

caring, helpful who's priority are the animals

lack of volunteers and they need donations

I've donated food and heaters to them and even some blankets, they really do love animals and I wish the community would do more to help them out.

they truly care about what they do, it shows how much they love animals!

  • 3. It's small and crowded but they care

This shelter is in a store front. It is small, a bit smell, and noisy but the people there really care and are doing their best to save animals.
