Fallen Feathers, a bird rescue shelter in Peoria, Arizona, is looking for the owner of a pigeon who was found wearing a bedazzled vest near an intersection.

The young male pigeon was found by a good Samaritan who discovered the bird near 61st Avenue and Bell Road in Glendale. The pigeon was wearing a fitted rhinestone-studded vest.

The rescue’s director, Jody Kieran, made a post on the rescue’s Facebook page in hopes of finding the owner of this well-dressed bird.

“This was a bird that was loved,” she tells the Arizona Republic

According to the outlet, the rescue will wait about a month for the owner to turn up. If no one claims the pigeon, he will go up for adoption.

Kieran tells the outlet that pigeons are more commonly kept as pets than you’d think, and they make great companions.

"They're really nice birds," she says. "They can't hurt you, they can't bite you or anything like that. ... They're really very tame and they're actually really smart."

Kieran also notes that the pigeon in question likes watching TV and prefers Westerns.

UPDATE: Since the publication of this article, the pigeon's owners, Marlette Fernando and husband, Norman, have been reunited with their pet pigeon. The pigeon's name is Olive and you can follow him on Instagram
