The polar vortex has been taking much of the United States by storm. With temperatures well below zero, it has become dangerous to just go outside.

One family cat got caught outside in Montana in 10 degree Fahrenheit weather. Her owners found her in a snowbank, where she was covered in snowballs, frozen and unresponsive.

Fearing for her life, they rushed her to Animal Clinic of Kalispell hoping for the best.

After hours of treatment, the veterinary staff was able to revive her and get her back to her healthy self. She is currently at home recovering and staying warm.
