Q. My 17.5 yr old cat is displaying many signs of dementia. I have been accommodating her needsbut is there a predictable timeline progression ?

Answered By

A. Unfortunately with degenerative neurologic disorders there is a great deal of individual variation and a predictable progression is not likely. If you were interested in diagnosing the actual cause and establishing more of a timeline with your cat you could set up a consultation with a veterinary neurologist. It can be difficult to see out beloved pets age, continue to accommodate as much as you can.
