Q. Female 7 yr old German shepherd is lethargic will eat meat but nor kibble eats snow normally active

Answered By

A. Lethargy and loss of appetite are signs that something is wrong. But they are very general signs that could mean a number of things. She needs to be seen by the vet this week for lab work and possibly other diagnostics to deterine the exact cause of her distress. SOnme things that may be considered are infection, tumor, or organ disease. Do not get her used to eating just meat, or you will have a difficult time readjusting her diet. Try some low-sodium chicken or beef broth added to her kibble to see if that will entice her to eat it.
