Q. My dog got hit by a car and he's still alive but he must be in a lot of pain bc I heard the hit from inside. What can I give him for pain?

Answered By

A. You need to bring him to an emergency vet clinic right away. Medications like aspirin, Tylenol, Advil, Aleve, Motrin and others are tixoc to dogs and cannot be given. Besides, you do not want to give anything that would mask the pain for his vet exam. The dog may have fractures, internal injuries, or both that must be treated.

A. This is a medical emergency and your dog needs to go to a vet ASAP. There is nothing safe that you can give your dog at home. Please take your pet to a vet right away.
