Q. Crusty drainage from right eye 85 lb goldendoodle on no grain diet no chicken or fowl what would be simple rx til I can get him to vet?

Answered By

A. Unfortunately there aren't any over the counter ophthalmic antibiotic ointments available in the U.S. You can use a washcloth soaked in warm water to help remove the drainage, which will hopefully make him more comfortable until you can get him to the vet. Place the washcloth over the eye for 3 - 5 minutes to soften the debris, then gently wipe it away.
