A. I would be really concerned that this spot is some type of autoimmune lesion called an eosinophillc plaque. Cats get them frequently on their heads (but also elsewhere) and they look just like what you're describing. Often they're related to allergies. Your vet can help diagnose this and determine the proper course of treatment. You definitely want to get it checked out as it could also be a cancerous lesion that needs surgical removal.
