A. I think it's likely that what you're seeing is an umbilical hernia. Your vet can tell you for sure after looking at it, but it's a very common defect in dogs. The body wall doesn't close properly during development and a small hole is left where the umbilical cord was. It can very easily be repaired when she's spayed.
