Q. Sixteen year old male ,open mouth breathing, weakness and loss of balance, vomiting. Seemed like some sort of seizure.

Answered By

A. I'm very concerned about your cat. Open-mouthed breathing is a sign of respiratory distress, which can be brought on by heart or lung disease. Loss of balance also makes me concerned for heart disease, and the vomiting could be many things. Get him checked out by your vet ASAP in order to determine what's going on, and start appropriate therapy.
