Q. My long haired chewahwa is lossing his hair hes starting to look like a bald dog! no inflammed skin though

Answered By

A. If the skin is normal in appearance it's possible that this is a hormonal disease, like hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism is when the thyroid glands (which control metabolism) are less active than normal, and often we'll see hair loss along the body and sometimes the back of the legs, along with weight gain, lethargy, and some other signs. I'd encourage you to get this checked out with your vet as soon as possible.
