Q. My Pekingese seemed fine yesterday. Today he is blind in one eye. Eye seems bulgier than other and has a red backround as if full of blood. No trauma.

A. This is likely glaucoma. In this disease the normal drainage inside the eye gets clogged, and the pressure of the fluid inside the eye builds and builds. It's excruciatingly painful, and they are at risk for permanent loss of vision. This is an emergency and he needs to see a vet right away.
