Q. Can a different dog food cause tummy issues? My husband bought a different brand of food, but only one dog is getting sick out of 4 pups.

A. While changing foods abruptly can cause "tummy issues", especially diarrhea, don't loose sight of the fact that many things cause gastrointestinal issues in dogs. If a return to the previous food doesn't resolve the problems promptly, see your vet for evaluation for other things, including parasites and gastrointestinal infection.

A. Yes, it is very common actually. Different dog foods can cause gastrointestinal issues in some dogs and not in others. If you have not changed it gradually over a week this might also be the issue.

I would probably go back to the previous food if there was no issues with it.
