Q. My 8 year old house broken pup is suddenly having accidents in house and drinking a lot of watef

A. I am a veterinarian that family believes in integrative therapies union acupuncture and herbal therapy's as well as traditional medicine. In this case it sounds to me like your dog may have a metabolic disorder such as hypothyroidism or diabetes. I would recommend taking your dog in for some bloodwork. Of course there are other things that can cause excessive drinking and urination, But those are the most commonly seen in my practice. Both of these require traditional medical therapy although I've used herbs to supplement traditional therapies and both of these.
