Q. My pup just got his first shots. We live in an apartment. Is it ok to take him outside to the grass to relieve himself?

Answered By

A. Puppies 8-12 weeks old are most vulnerable for diseases such as Parvo virus. Even though this is included in their vaccines, they do not have adequate immunity till 12 weeks or older. Parvo virus can be found in areas populated by other dogs such as dog parks and public parks. If your dog has access to an area that is private that is encouraged. Also, make sure to avoid dogs with unknown vaccine history.
