Q. female shepherd 12 yrs has constant urination and what looks like a lot of blood in urine

Answered By

A. I would take her in asap for a urinalysis. Blood in the urine is never a good sign and could be evidence of kidney failure, a severe kidney or bladder infection or even bladder stones. Your vet may also want to run some bloodwork which can help look for signs of infection in addition to evaluating organ function which would be important in your case.

A. This sounds like either a urine infection, nephritis (kidney infection) or urinary bladder tumor. you will need to bring a urine sample to your vet ASAP in order to start diagnosing this condition and hopefully your vet will be able to help and treat it.
