Q. She is a lab about 9yrs old and limps from pain in her hip also drinks a lot of water how can I help her

Answered By

A. Have her examined by a vet to determine the exact cause of her problems. Drinking more water can be secondary to liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes, Cushing, Addison's disease, or infections. Your vet can run lab-work to diagnose and treat the problem. She may also have some arthritis in her hips and your vet can prescribe an anti-inflammatory and/or pain medications to alleviate her pain.
