Q. Is comfortis safe for my dogs?

Answered By

A. Comfortis is safe for most dogs, however it is not recommended for dogs with epilepsy (seizures). I always recommended that this medication be given with a meal as vomiting can occasionally happen and is less likely if it is given with food. As with any new medication, watch for adverse reactions in your pet and report any problems to the veterinarian that prescribed the medication. Comfortis is a very effective heartworm preventive and an effective flea treatment.
