A. If you have had a large number of mice in your home, it is possible that they may have introduced a skin mite or parasite which has found its way to your hamster. Whatever the case, I would strongly recommend a visit to your vet for an exam and skin scrape to look for an external parasite. This would require a special kind of medication to eliminate it as well as special cleaning and care of the cage and bedding.
