A. Thanks for your question. That may be an aural hematoma, that is accumulation of blood just underneath the skin of the ear. Usually there an underlying cause of otitis (inflammation of the ear canal) is present and needs to be treated as well. Treatment for aural hematoma is either surgical or more conservative; I would strongly recommend to have him checked or to engage in a consultation to discuss treatment further.
