Q. Chloe is part Shih Tzu/chihuahua & has had loose stools past few days. This evening the loose stools appeared red & bloody. She is about 5 years old.

A. This signs might be compatible with large bowel diarrhoea, possibly colitis. I would suggest to change diet for the next 3-4 days. Feed her with boiled chicken and rice in smaller portion a bit more often than normal. If she is showing any other sign such as depression, inappetence, lethargy or vomiting or if the diarrhoea persists please take her to your veterinarian for a check up and appropriate treatment ( she may need antibiotics).

To discuss this problem and her clinical condition further please request a consultation.
