Q. Hi, My 1 year old beagle has severe blood shot eyes during evenings and nights. Is it something to worry about?

Answered By

A. If it is an intermittent finding that you notice only during evenings and nights time, I would not be worried about it. It may be only incidental. Unfortunately to be 100% sure about what I am suggesting I would need to have a look at him.

If you notice other signs like excessive blinking, more tear production, if you think your dog could have decreased vision, any opacity inside the eye, then I would recommend to take him to your veterinarian for a check up.

If you would like to discuss the problem any further do not hesitate to request a consultation; (in consultation you can send pictures of his eyes, which would be very useful to understand if there is a problem).
