Q. My cat is pulling his fur out on a daily basis from the top of his back, but there is no mark on his skin and rhat area doesnt seem to hurt

A. That commonly is caused by either flea infestation and flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) or could be psychogenic and related to stress usually. Other causes are possible, but are far less common.

I would recommend to take him to your veterinarian for a check up as soon as possible to treat the problem. A good flea treatment, a buster collar and some steroids lead usually to complete and rapid resolution of the clinical signs.
