Q. My cat just got attacked by a dog his paw is broken. We put a splint around his paw he's now sleeping. Will his paw heal on it own?

Answered By

A. I would definitively recommend to take him to your veterinarian as soon as possible. Pain killers and antibiotics may be needed. The splint might be a good options but it needs to be applied after x rays are taken to understand the exact location and the type of fracture. The risk of a splint not properly placed is to create more damage than benefit to your cat.
