Q. My chihuahua is getting old and going blind. He has discharge coming from his eyes. I can't afford to take him to the vet. Is there anything I can do

A. Old age is not a disease! going blind on the other hand is, if he has discharge coming from his eyes you can use cotton with lukewarm water to clean the eyes as much as you can several times a day, but if there is an ongoing infection it might not help a whole lot. Ideally you would need to take him to the vet, if it's an infection that is not complicated the visit should not be expensive.
