Q. My puppy has hard dry skin on his forehead and behind his ears. He also has hard mucus on his nose, what could it be?

Answered By

A. allergic condition or mite infestation are the first thing that come to mind when thinking of all these symptoms together, although the mucus on the nose might not be related to the skin condition (could be a nasal or upper respiratory condition). I would recommend to take your puppy to the vet to get him checked. If you havn't de-flead himi would also recommend doing that as fleas are the number one reason for skin conditions in dogs.
