Q. Hi, I recently got 2 chihuahuas of 15 months, the old owner told me that they didn't get vaccines, so now I'd like to know what vaccines they need.

Answered By

A. they need two initial vaccines, they need to have the first as soon as possible then usually the second one is done 4 weeks later. After those and depending on where you live they might also need to get a rabies vaccine a week or two later. It is important to not let them out until a week after the second vaccination. The initial vaccines will protect them against the most common and dangerous diseases in dogs (parvo, distemper, leptospira, parainfluenza).
