Q. I have a female long haired domestic cat around 14 yrs old, she has ocular discharge in one eye...very thick and she also is drooling excessively.

A. drooling and eye discharge together makes me suspect she might have a tooth infection turned into an abscess. She will probably need to be sedated in order to investigate her mouth and potentially extract the problematic tooth. She will also need to be on antibiotic for 7-14 days.
