Q. Cat has problems eating, food falls out of mouth, poops outside of litter box.Cat is 17year old.

Answered By

A. Pooping outside the box is something that is seen sometimes in older cats. As long as the stools look normal it's not always a medical problem.

Food falling from the mouth could indicate an oral disease like teeth infection, gum inflammation or oral/tongue tumor.

I recommend taking her to the vet to get her mouth checked and possibly do a blood test as well (because of her age).
