Q. My 15 year old cat has been vomiting 4-6 times a week for sometime. Is there anything I can do to help him?

Answered By

A. At his age chronic vomiting is usually not good news. There some diseases that occur around this age that you need to be aware of.

The most common elderly disease in cats is renal failure. Vomiting is common as well as weight loss, excessive drinking and urination.

The second in the list is an abdominal tumor. It can sometimes block or partially block the intestines causing vomiting.

I recommend taking him to the vet to get him checked and try to help him.
