Q. I have a red bone and she is old and I have a jack russel mix puppy and they in haled smoke from my house fire I want to know what I can do

A. Smoke damage can cause serious, sometimes delayed lung condition (atelectasis). If you notice any shortness of breath take them immediately to the vet.

You should monitor their respiration at rest for a few days. Wait until they sleep or resting, count how many respirations per minute. If it's over 35 it means they are breathing too fast and there is something wrong.
