Q. My cat has chronic diarrhea and chews out the fur on her stomach and back legs. What is most likely the cause of this?

Answered By

A. Both symptom make me suspect of a food allergy as usually when the gastrointestinal system and skin/fur are involved, if both are connected, food allergies are very high on the list.

A good way to try diagnose and treat this is putting her on an hypoallergenic diet (prescription food). Feed her this and this only for 2 months and hopefully it will help.
