Q. My cat has a very congested nose and nasal passages. She always sounds like she is full of mucous. Is there anything we can give her?

Answered By

A. She might be suffering from chronic upper respiratory infection. This usually starts earlier in life but can become chronic if left untreated.

I usually treat this infection with azythromicine, a pediatric antibiotic that works very well for this kind of infection. You will need to bring her to the vet in order to get a prescription.
