Q. My dog is 17yrs. The last few weeks she has had a runny nose and generally sounds like a cold. She is eating well and drinking. Is there anymore I can

A. If the secretion from the nose is clear, it could very well be a viral nasal infection, although they are nit common in dogs. If the runny nose has yellow color or blood in it I would be more worried as these are usually signs of either foreign body in the nasal cavity (grass seeds) or a nasal tumor.
