Q. I have miniature dachshund. Symptoms: won't eat, threw up (white/yellow) 2x, lethargic, intense itching, front leg is raw

Answered By

A. As she is having both skin and gastrointestinal symptoms, I tend to believe it's related to a food reaction, a food allergy perhaps.

In order to stop the allergy you could try giving 1-2 tablets of Benadryl if the vomiting is stopping. Give those tablets twice a day.

Withhold food for 12 hours then put her on boiled chicken and rice for 2 days - every 6 hours in small portions.

If the vomiting won't stop or she won't eat, take her to the vet to receive treatment.
