Q. Dental recovery

Answered By

A. Recovery from a dental procedure can vary according to the number of surgical extraction done. Usually if it's just a simple "scale and polish" procedure, it will take around half an hour and your dog will be able to go home 2-4 hours later. At home you want need to give any special care or pain killers.

If extractions are needed, your dog's recovery might take a little longer although he will still go home the same day. Your dog might need pain killer and antibiotic and it might be painful for him to eat several days after the procedure (wet food is usually recommended).
