Q. My cat has a patch of flaky skin on her back at the tail end, this does not however appear to be itchy. How should I treat this.

A. This is probably a small injury or an infection (fungal or bacterial). you can try using an over the counter antiseptic cream BUT you will need to buy a buster collar to but around her neck, otherwise she is going to lick the cream immediately after you apply it.

If it doesn't get better or get worse within a week, take her to the vet to get it checked and treated.
