Q. A few weeks ago, my dog started drooling and was very sore in the jaw/mouth. He is on Metacam now and it helps but when he is off it all comes back Wh

A. He must have a tooth abscess or a salivary gland condition. i would strongly suggest that your vet examine his mouth very well, under sedation if needed, and hopefully he will find the source of the drooling and pain in the mouth cavity.

A. Recheck with your veterinarian. Your dog should have a complete dental exam including dental xrays and periodontal probing. There may be some periodontal disease cause the symptoms you are seeing.
