Q. One year old cat has bump w/red rawness on head (above one eye). Treating with Animax/Neosporin. If flea bite allergy, how long does it take to work?

Answered By

A. It depends if the fleas are still on him or not. if you have not treated him for fleas, that would be the first thing to do. the creams you are using are antibacterial only, without any anti itching effect (steroids) so i'm not sure they are making a big difference either.

If you eliminate the fleas and the itchiness goes away, it will usually take 2-3 weeks to heal.
