Q. Hello, my dog was just diagnosed with throat cancer. It has come up & spread to the lungs in the space of 2.5 months. Is there anything ican do?

Answered By

A. Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done once the cancer has spread to the lung, it is a terminal cancer and it is just a matter of time as some cancers advance faster than others.

Sometimes steroids can help a little, but once your dog starts having severe difficulty breathing - it is advises to strongly consider euthanasia.

I'm very sorry to hear about your dog's condition, it is not an easy situation.
