Q. My dog had a poo and was straining a lot and only squirts came out and there was fresh blood through it and all over her fur she's a 2yr old Shih Tzu.

A. This sounds like potentially a condition called hemorrhagic enteritis (bloody feces with inflamed small intestines). This is a common condition and is usually caused by stress or dietary indiscretion. For treatment your pet would require antibiotics (metronidazole works well for this), probiotics (i.e. Fortiflora or proviable) and a low fat diet such as Hill's I/D or Purina EN Gastrointestinal. You also want to make sure you pet has plenty of access to water so that she doesn't get dehydrated.
